What you may and may not do on EducationPals — your account, academic integrity, the AI tutor, our content and the platform itself.
Last updated · Version 1.0
This Acceptable Use Policy is part of our Terms of Use and explains in more detail what the Terms' "Acceptable Use Policy" and "Enforcement" sections mean in practice. It applies to everyone who uses the EducationPals website, learning platform, AI tutor and related services (the "Service"), including members of a team plan and learners who joined through a partner. If this policy and the Terms ever disagree, the Terms apply.
An EducationPals account is for one person. To keep it that way:
You are responsible for what happens under your account. If you think someone else has used it, change your password and tell us straight away.
EducationPals is for your own learning. Use it honestly:
Builds and notes you create are your own work. Where a build or practice task asks you to produce something, the point is that you produce it.
Atlas is there to help you learn. You agree not to:
AI answers can be wrong. They are for learning, not professional, legal, medical, financial or career advice — see our AI Policy for how the tutor works and its limits.
Courses, lessons, quizzes, flashcards, articles, images and the tutor's output are licensed to you for your personal, non-commercial learning, as the Terms describe. You may not:
If you believe something on the Service infringes your copyright, follow the notice process in the Terms' Copyright Policy.
Do not interfere with the Service or other learners. In particular, do not:
Do not use the Service to collect, upload, send or share anything that is unlawful; harassing, abusive, threatening, defamatory or obscene; harmful to minors; invasive of someone's privacy; or that breaks a law or an obligation you owe someone else. This applies to everything you type or upload — notes, highlights, flashcards, build work, help requests and messages to the tutor.
If you see something on EducationPals that breaks this policy — content, behaviour or a security issue — tell us through Help › Report a bug in the app, or email legal@educationpals.ai. Report security vulnerabilities as described on our Security page.
If we believe this policy or the Terms have been broken, we may, depending on how serious it is: remove or refuse content; limit features such as the tutor; suspend or close the account; cancel access granted by an invite, partner code or promotion; and report conduct to the authorities where the law requires or allows it. Where an account is part of a team plan, we may tell the team's administrator.
We try to act in proportion and, where it is safe and practical, to tell you what we did and why. If you think we got it wrong, reply to our message or write to us and we will look again.
We may update this policy as the Service changes. The date and version at the top of this page show when it last changed. If a change materially affects how you can use the Service, we will give notice in the way the Terms describe.
